I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way but, when I see myself in the mirror, I only rarely think “Yep, that’s me.” More often, I look at the mirror and think “Yep, that’s my body.” Then I feel this warm fraternal affection towards my body like “You and I have been through a lot together, haven’t we?”

My daughter has the rare ability to go to sleep whenever she wants to. She mostly uses it when we take long drives. “How long until we get there? Sigh. Okay. I’m going to sleep.” And then she’s asleep.
